Tranexamic Acid is indicated for the treatment of hyperpigmentation of various origins, both endogenous and exogenous:

Endogenous causes
• Genetic or hormonal: melasma, chloasma or pregnancy mask, menopause-related spots or those from contraceptives.
• Age: solar lentigo or age spots, also known as liver spots.
• Genetic predisposition, such as ephelides (commonly freckles, typical of skin types I and II).
• Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

• Skin lesions like acne.
