It is not a medical device and does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.

Machines with more chambers offer more gradual compression and a smoother sensation, as they divide the leg into smaller working zones. In professional use, the smoothness of transition between chambers, pressure control and inflation programme quality are particularly valued. However, actual performance also depends on whether the chambers are overlapping or independent, the sequence pattern and compressor regulation.
