Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 is a peptide mimetic of the matrikines, which are cytokines whose origin is the extracellular matrix as they are derived from the proteolysis of proteins of the same. On the one hand, they provide structural material by stimulating the synthesis of the 6 main molecules of the ECM: collagen I, III and IV, fibronectin, hyaluronic acid and laminin. On the other hand, it stimulates the dermal matrix and the junction of the dermis and epidermis.
