Body Solariums
Reduced price:€2,135.41

The Onyx 14/1 is the high-end home solarium in canopy format: it sits over your bed or a treatment couch and covers your whole body with 14 XL UV tubes of 1.90 m (10×100 W + 4×80 W), plus a 400 W facial lamp with independent control. SRS reflectors, an integrated body fan and gas-strut assisted opening to leave the canopy at exactly the right height. Just 1.98 kW on a normal socket, 84 kg and a Titanium Bronze Metallic finish, certified CE and DEKRA KEMA-KEUR.

The canopy format is its great advantage: you use your own bed and, when you finish, the arch stays discreetly at one side of the room.
The extra-long tubes (1.90 m) cover you from head to toe and work with the Strip Reflector System, which spreads light efficiently and minimises under-exposed areas. The result: an even tan, visible from the very first sessions.
The facial lamp adds extra pigmentation on face and neckline, the areas that usually tan with more difficulty, without extending the exposure time. And you switch it on or off whenever you like.
The gas struts let you set the canopy at the right height smoothly, keeping the optimal distance from your skin. That detail is what makes the result as good lying on your own bed as in a salon cabin.
A wide canopy of about 225 cm long and up to 172 cm high: it fits over a standard bed or a treatment couch, without dedicating a whole room to it.

Understanding the process helps you plan sessions and build a stable tone without overdoing it.
The same simple protocol as always, in your own bedroom.
Indicative values for the Onyx 14/1. Always start with the shortest time.
| Skin type | First session | Regular session | Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Type I — very fair skin that never tans | Not recommended | Not recommended | Must not use artificial tanning |
| Type II — fair skin, burns easily | 5–8 min | 12–15 min | 1–2 times/week |
| Type III — medium skin, tans gradually | 8–12 min | 16–20 min | 2 times/week |
| Type IV — olive skin, rarely burns | 12–15 min | 20–25 min | 2–3 times/week |
| Type V–VI — dark skin | 15–18 min | 25 min | 2–3 times/week |
Always leave at least 48 hours between sessions and never combine the sunbed with natural sun on the same day. Follow the exposure table supplied with the unit.
Skin type is a classification describing how your skin reacts to sun exposure. It is based on skin, hair and eye colour, and on how prone you are to burning or tanning. Knowing it helps you choose the safest and most effective tanning practices.
| Skin type | Characteristics | Reaction to the sun |
|---|---|---|
| Type I | Very fair skin, usually with freckles, red or light blond hair, light eyes | Burns easily and rarely tans |
| Type II | Fair skin, blond hair, light eyes | Usually burns, but can tan slightly |
| Type III | Intermediate skin, brown hair, darker eyes | Sometimes burns and tans gradually |
| Type IV | Olive skin, dark hair, dark eyes | Rarely burns, tans well |
| Type V | Dark skin, dark hair and eyes | Rarely burns, tans easily |
| Type VI | Very dark or black skin, dark hair and eyes | Never burns, tans very easily |
To work out your skin type, consider your most common reaction to prolonged sun exposure without protection. Check with a dermatologist if you are unsure or have a history of sun-related skin problems. Warning: people with skin type I must not use artificial tanning equipment.
What you need to know before deciding, with no fine print.

Yes. It is a canopy solarium: it sits over a standard bed or a treatment couch. At about 225 cm long and up to 172 cm high, it covers your whole body without taking over a room.
No. At 1.98 kW and 220/230 V it runs on a normal domestic installation. We recommend a line with proper protection and no extension cords.
Yes. The gas-strut assisted opening lets you set it at the right height smoothly, keeping the optimal distance from your skin.
Yes. The 400 W facial lamp has independent control: switch it on when you want to boost face and neckline, or leave it off.
The hour counter on the panel tells you. We supply the original tubes and advise you on the change.
Yes. Tanning accelerators are designed to improve results in tanning units: they hydrate the skin and support melanin production, so colour appears sooner and lasts longer. Always use cosmetics made specifically for tanning units, never self-tanners or creams with sun protection.
It is not advisable to use sunscreen over your whole body during tanning sessions, since its job is to block UV rays and it would cancel out the tanning effect. However, you can apply sunscreen to specific areas that need extra protection, such as scars, marks or sensitive areas.
Yes. Although you should not cover your whole skin, it is worth protecting specific spots such as scars, recent tattoos, marks or particularly sensitive areas with a high-factor sunscreen.
We recommend using the tanner 2 to 3 times a week, leaving rest time between sessions so the skin is not overexposed to UV rays.
We recommend waiting at least 48 hours between sessions. It is also important to avoid using the tanning unit and being exposed to natural sunlight on the same day, to prevent UV overexposure.
Yes, protective goggles must always be worn during tanning sessions to prevent eye damage from UV radiation exposure.
Yes, it is important to remove contact lenses before a UVA session to avoid irritation or possible eye damage.
One advantage of indoor UVA tanning units is that they do not depend on weather conditions or external factors such as the ozone layer or fluctuations in solar radiation, which allows a controlled and consistent tanning experience. Even so, times, rest periods and eye protection must always be respected.
We recommend using specialist cosmetics that help hydrate the skin during tanning sessions. These products are designed to counteract moisture loss and improve the appearance of the skin, helping the tan last longer.
Avoid perfumes, colognes, creams with citrus, essential oils and products with retinol or exfoliating acids for at least 10 days before the session. Also avoid products with lemon, orange or bergamot, and certain photosensitising medications such as antibiotics (tetracyclines), NSAIDs (ibuprofen) or diuretics. Check with your doctor if you have any doubt about a medication you are taking.
If you are allergic to natural sunlight, you should not expose yourself to UVA rays, as the radiation is similar and may cause an adverse skin reaction.
White patches in areas such as the shoulder blades or buttocks can occur due to pressure on these areas while lying down, which reduces blood flow and the distribution of the tan. Alternating between horizontal and vertical tanning beds can help minimise this effect.
There are several types of home tanning units, including horizontal and vertical models. Horizontal units suit those who prefer to tan lying down, while vertical ones are ideal for those who prefer to stand or for smaller spaces. The choice depends on the space available at home and your personal tanning preferences.
Tell us where you would put it and how you plan to use it, and we will tell you whether the Onyx 14/1 is your unit or another one suits you better.
