The Hapro HB404 facial tanner is a home tanning unit designed to deliver a golden, even and visible colour in very few sessions. It features a 400 W high-pressure lamp and a parabolic reflector that optimise light projection over the face, neck, shoulders and décolleté.

Its high-pressure technology delivers short exposure times and wide coverage — ideal to keep your tone all year round or prepare your skin before summer.
The 400 W lamp emits constant radiation that reduces the number of sessions needed. The parabolic reflector multiplies light efficiency and improves how even the result looks, and its effective area covers face, neck, shoulders and décolleté for a more balanced colour than units with smaller coverage.
Set up in seconds thanks to the built-in strap-type spacer, which places the unit at the correct distance. Operation is intuitive via a timer dial with a visible scale and automatic stop, and its tabletop format lets you use it in the bathroom, bedroom or a beauty cabin without taking up space.
Solid build with easy access for lamp replacement when needed. Cleaning is simple with a soft cloth after each use to keep the reflective surface in perfect condition. UV goggles are included, and side ventilation helps dissipate heat during the session.
Fast, even and controlled facial tanning without leaving home.

Understanding what the lamp does helps you use the unit better and more safely.
No installation and no complicated settings: plug it in, position it and set the timer.
An indicative starting point. Always begin with the minimum time and build up slowly, leaving at least 48 hours between sessions.
| Skin type | First session | Regular session | Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Type I — very fair skin that never tans | Not recommended | Not recommended | Must not use artificial tanning |
| Type II — fair skin, burns easily | 3–5 min | 8–10 min | 1–2× per week |
| Type III — intermediate skin | 5 min | 10–15 min | 2× per week |
| Type IV — darker skin, rarely burns | 5–8 min | 15–20 min | 2× per week |
| Maintaining your tone | — | 10 min | 1× per week |
Always leave 48 hours between sessions and never do more than one a day. If you take photosensitising medication, have atypical moles, a history of skin cancer or any doubt about your skin type, check with your doctor before starting. Not suitable for under-18s.
Skin type is a classification describing how your skin reacts to sun exposure. It is based on skin, hair and eye colour, and on how prone you are to burning or tanning. Knowing it helps you choose the safest and most effective tanning practices.
| Skin type | Characteristics | Reaction to the sun |
|---|---|---|
| Type I | Very fair skin, usually with freckles, red or light blond hair, light eyes | Burns easily and rarely tans |
| Type II | Fair skin, blond hair, light eyes | Usually burns, but can tan slightly |
| Type III | Intermediate skin, brown hair, darker eyes | Sometimes burns and tans gradually |
| Type IV | Olive skin, dark hair, dark eyes | Rarely burns, tans well |
| Type V | Dark skin, dark hair and eyes | Rarely burns, tans easily |
| Type VI | Very dark or black skin, dark hair and eyes | Never burns, tans very easily |
To work out your skin type, consider your most common reaction to prolonged sun exposure without protection. Check with a dermatologist if you are unsure or have a history of sun-related skin problems. Warning: people with skin type I must not use artificial tanning equipment.

It depends on your skin type and the length of each session, but as this is a 400 W high-pressure lamp the tone usually shows sooner than with conventional facial units. Start with short sessions, leave 48 hours between them and increase the time gradually.
The 20 × 20 cm tanning window and the parabolic reflector cover face, neck, shoulders and décolleté — a larger surface than most home facial tanners.
People with skin type 1 (very fair skin that never tans, red or very fair blond hair, freckles and blue eyes) must not use artificial tanning. Neither should under-18s. If you take photosensitising medication or have a dermatological history, check with your doctor first.
The lamp is replaceable and access is simple, with no technical service required. When you notice output dropping, we can supply the original replacement.
No. It measures approximately 47 × 26 × 18 cm and weighs 5.5 kg, so you use it on a table and store it in a cupboard without any problem.
No. It plugs into a standard domestic socket and is ready to use.
Yes — official Hapro warranty and specialist after-sales service from Sunmarket, with spare parts and assistance by phone or WhatsApp at 961 040 660.
Yes. Tanning accelerators are designed to improve results in tanning units: they hydrate the skin and support melanin production, so colour appears sooner and lasts longer. Always use cosmetics made specifically for tanning units, never self-tanners or creams with sun protection.
It is not advisable to use sunscreen over your whole body during tanning sessions, since its job is to block UV rays and it would cancel out the tanning effect. However, you can apply sunscreen to specific areas that need extra protection, such as scars, marks or sensitive areas.
Yes. Although you should not cover your whole skin, it is worth protecting specific spots such as scars, recent tattoos, marks or particularly sensitive areas with a high-factor sunscreen.
We recommend using the tanner 2 to 3 times a week, leaving rest time between sessions so the skin is not overexposed to UV rays.
We recommend waiting at least 48 hours between sessions. It is also important to avoid using the tanning unit and being exposed to natural sunlight on the same day, to prevent UV overexposure.
Yes, protective goggles must always be worn during tanning sessions to prevent eye damage from UV radiation exposure.
Yes, it is important to remove contact lenses before a UVA session to avoid irritation or possible eye damage.
One advantage of indoor UVA tanning units is that they do not depend on weather conditions or external factors such as the ozone layer or fluctuations in solar radiation, which allows a controlled and consistent tanning experience. Even so, times, rest periods and eye protection must always be respected.
We recommend using specialist cosmetics that help hydrate the skin during tanning sessions. These products are designed to counteract moisture loss and improve the appearance of the skin, helping the tan last longer.
Avoid perfumes, colognes, creams with citrus, essential oils and products with retinol or exfoliating acids for at least 10 days before the session. Also avoid products with lemon, orange or bergamot, and certain photosensitising medications such as antibiotics (tetracyclines), NSAIDs (ibuprofen) or diuretics. Check with your doctor if you have any doubt about a medication you are taking.
If you are allergic to natural sunlight, you should not expose yourself to UVA rays, as the radiation is similar and may cause an adverse skin reaction.
White patches in areas such as the shoulder blades or buttocks can occur due to pressure on these areas while lying down, which reduces blood flow and the distribution of the tan. Alternating between horizontal and vertical tanning beds can help minimise this effect.
There are several types of home tanning units, including horizontal and vertical models. Horizontal units suit those who prefer to tan lying down, while vertical ones are ideal for those who prefer to stand or for smaller spaces. The choice depends on the space available at home and your personal tanning preferences.
