Single-step stool with a non-slip surface, designed to help patients get on and off the treatment table without assistance. Weighing 2.9 kg, it can be positioned and removed using the foot and stored underneath the treatment table between sessions. Weelko reference WKF010.
ACHIL Step: the accessory that prevents 90% of near misses
An electric treatment table can rise to a height of 85 or 96 cm. It can be lowered, but lowering and raising it again for every patient takes time and causes motor wear. This access step solves the problem: you can leave the treatment table at your working height while the patient uses an intermediate step, placing their weight on a non-slip surface instead of having to climb onto the table.
It is particularly important for older patients, patients with acute lower back pain, hip or knee replacements, vertigo or obesity: these are precisely the patients who may struggle to negotiate a height of 80 cm and whose entire recovery could be jeopardised by a fall.

Why it is worth keeping close at hand
Fewer motor cycles. Every complete raising and lowering cycle causes wear to the treatment table. The step significantly reduces the number of cycles required each working day.
Less downtime. The seconds spent waiting for the treatment table to lower and rise add up when multiplied by the number of patients treated each day.
Patient independence. Being able to get onto the treatment table without assistance changes the patient’s experience of the session.
Safety and responsibility. A fall in a professional treatment room is a serious issue. This access step is the most affordable measure for reducing that risk.
How to use it correctly
Always place it on the side from which the patient will access the treatment table and remove it as soon as they are lying down: a step left in the middle of the room creates exactly the trip hazard you are trying to prevent. Check that the non-slip surface is clean and dry —massage oil residue can make it slippery— and clean the base with a damp cloth and neutral detergent at the end of the working day.
At 2.9 kg, it can be moved with your foot without bending down and fits underneath most treatment tables when not in use.
Complete your treatment table
