The Poolex O'SPA Flow 5 kW is a heat pump designed for spas, Nordic hot tubs and small pools. It combines heating, chiller cooling and an integrated circulation pump in one unit, simplifying the hydraulic connection by removing the need for a bypass.

Its constant 2.15 m³/h flow rate is suited to spa requirements and directs water through the Twisted Tech© titanium heat exchanger. The unit heats water from 10 to 40 °C or cools it from 2 to 30 °C, making it a practical option for maintaining the desired spa temperature or preparing a cold-water bathing installation.

The 5 kW version, reference PC-OSPA55P, features Wi-Fi connectivity for remote adjustment of temperature and operating modes via the Poolex mobile app. It also includes an integrated relay to control the spa's electric heater when required.

A more direct hydraulic installation

Unlike a configuration requiring an external circulation pump and bypass, the O'SPA Flow incorporates its own circulation pump. This integration enables the unit to be connected directly to the spa through a single connection, maintaining a stable flow to the heat exchanger.

Heating, cooling and Auto mode

The O'SPA Flow combines three operating modes to suit spa use throughout the year: heating, chiller cooling and Auto mode. Its heating range is 10 to 40 °C, while its cooling range is 2 to 30 °C.

According to the manufacturer, the unit can operate in heating mode down to -7 °C. The integrated control relay can manage the spa's electric heater to maintain heating when required.

Performance of the 5 kW version

Thermal performance figures are stated under specific ambient and water conditions. In heating mode, the O'SPA Flow 5 kW delivers a 5.06 kW capacity at 26 °C air, 26 °C water and 80% relative humidity, with a COP of 5.30. At 15 °C air, 38 °C water and 70% relative humidity, the stated capacity is 3.25 kW with a COP of 3.00.

In cooling mode, it provides a capacity of 2.75 kW at 35 °C air, 27 °C water and 70% relative humidity. Under conditions of 15 °C air, 5 °C water and 70% relative humidity, the stated cooling capacity is 2.00 kW.
