Its formula combines diverse ingredients that act at different levels and stages of the hair growth cycle. The activity of its components meets the necessary requirements to restore cellular regeneration systems and prevent the hormonal and glandular imbalances typical of hair loss in both men and women. It induces vasodilation to ensure optimal perfusion of the hair follicle cells, enhancing the delivery of nutrients. The high concentration of B vitamins guarantees complete nourishment of the dermal papilla as well as proper metabolic function. Its chelating action prevents the deleterious effects of metals that accumulate during the telogen phase and protects the structures attached to the pilosebaceous follicle, thus reinforcing the entire hair structure.

BCN Scalp contains the active ingredients whose deficiency can lead to hair loss: dexpanthenol and biotin. It also includes other B vitamins and iron.

Dexpanthenol, a natural component of skin and hair, is the alcoholic analog of pantothenic acid or vitamin B5 and, therefore, is the provitamin B5 that is rapidly absorbed through the skin and converted into vitamin B5. Its effectiveness is based on its excellent moisturizing power and deep skin penetration. It increases moisture levels in the stratum corneum, reducing transepidermal water loss, and maintains the skin’s natural softness and elasticity. It accelerates cellular repair, rebuilds damaged tissue, and promotes normal keratinization of both skin and hair. Additionally, its marked anti-inflammatory effect, combined with its hydrating properties, reduces inflammation, irritation, and itching of the skin and scalp. Its mechanism of action relies on its role as a component of coenzyme A, a substance essential in numerous biochemical processes, generally acting as a cofactor in acetylation reactions.

Biotin, also known as vitamin H, vitamin B7, or vitamin B8, is essential for cell growth, fatty acid production, and amino acid metabolism. By accelerating lipid synthesis, it enhances the skin's function as a natural barrier. Furthermore, it acts as a natural sebum regulator, alleviating the symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, and dry skin, thereby helping to combat hair loss and premature hair discoloration.

Thiamine, or vitamin B1, is an antioxidant that increases blood circulation in the skin and scalp. This action improves the penetration of blood, fluids, and therefore oxygen, into various areas of the skin and the hair follicles. In this way, it prevents hair loss and promotes the growth of new hair, significantly enhancing hair quality, shine, and luster.

Pyridoxine, or vitamin B6, has been shown to decrease the formation of dihydrotestosterone and regulate its excess at the hair root, thereby limiting hair loss and stimulating hair growth. It balances oily skin by reducing the secretion of the sebaceous glands, combats dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis, and alleviates itching and inflammation associated with skin conditions such as atopic eczema.

Iron, a fundamental component of many proteins and enzymes, has a direct effect on hair, with certain types of alopecia often being corrected by increasing iron levels. Additionally, iron is essential for keratin formation, the main protein component of the outer layers of the skin and hair, thus contributing to the healthy appearance of skin, nails, and hair.
