BCN ECQ10 provides the skin with firmness, smoothness, and hydration, giving it a younger appearance thanks to its components—collagen, elastin, and coenzyme Q10. Collagen, a protein found in connective tissue, is responsible for the skin’s turgor and elasticity. Over time, its fibers become more fragile and diminish, making it necessary to compensate with synthetic products that stimulate its synthesis, restore skin smoothness, fill in wrinkles, and fight against skin aging. Hydrolyzed elastin helps restore skin elasticity and flexibility while combating sagging.

BCN ECQ10, from the BCN Cocktails line, delivers firmness, smoothness, and hydration to the skin, resulting in a younger look due to its three active ingredients: collagen, elastin, and Q10 coenzyme. This product is designed to maintain the natural effects of collagen and elastin—molecules that decrease with age—by supplying synthetic collagen and elastin along with coenzyme Q10. This coenzyme helps slow the loss of these molecules, thereby also combating skin aging.

Like the other products in the BCN Cocktails line, it can be mixed with other ingredients from the BCN Classics range to adapt to each skin type and create more personalized treatments.

Collagen is a protein that forms part of the dermal connective tissue and functions to provide the skin with turgor and elasticity. Over the years, these fibers become more fragile and thinner, causing a loss of skin elasticity and firmness. This is why most cosmetics aim to regenerate this protein to improve the skin by filling in grooves, wrinkles, and reducing scars or any other structural deficiencies.

Elastin consists of a long chain of amino acids with numerous sequences of hydrophobic amino acids separated by other sequences containing pairs of glycines and other small amino acids, such as lysine. This chain of hydrophobic amino acids grants elastic properties by allowing the molecule to form coiled structures. Lysine plays a role in the formation of helices, which are the points where two adjacent elastin molecules bond.

These two components, present in the product in hydrolyzed form, help compensate for the natural collagen and elastin that diminish over time, thus maintaining the youthful skin’s characteristic elasticity.

Finally, coenzyme Q10, also known as ubiquinone, is renowned for its antioxidant properties and its ability to inhibit cellular damage caused by free radicals. Regular application helps repair the deterioration caused by these harmful elements and slows the degradation of dermal collagen. As a result, the skin becomes stronger and more resistant to aging, while existing expression lines and wrinkles are reduced.
