ORIA Mirplay skin analyser lamp for beauty treatment rooms

The ORIA skin analyser lamp by Mirplay is a portable device designed to support beauty professionals in the visual observation of the skin during the aesthetic assessment stage in the treatment room. Its operation is based on exposing the skin surface to intense violet rays, making it possible to observe fluorescence and colour variations in a completely dark room.

ORIA is intended to be integrated into professional protocols where a preliminary skin assessment is required before selecting cosmetics, facial treatments or in-cabin routines. It does not replace professional judgement, but provides a practical tool for visually examining the skin surface and areas that show different responses under ultraviolet light.

Professional use in aesthetic skin analysis

The lamp is used by positioning the instrument at a recommended distance of 5 to 6 cm from the skin surface. Observation is carried out through the magnifying lens and always in a dark room, a necessary condition for correctly appreciating the fluorescence generated by the violet light.

During the session, certain substances present on the skin may show a luminous appearance or changes in tone under the lamp. This visual response helps the beauty professional make an indicative reading of areas with different skin appearances, such as oily areas, zones with lower apparent hydration, visible pigmentation or superficial accumulation of dead skin cells.

Portable design with ABS structure

ORIA features a structure made from high-strength ABS plastic, a suitable material for equipment used frequently in professional environments. Its compact format makes it easy to handle during facial analysis and allows comfortable work in treatment rooms where mobility around the client is required.

The device incorporates 4 UV bulbs and operates with a power of 16 W, AC 220~240 V power supply and 50 Hz frequency. Its dimensions of 27 × 18 × 5 cm make it a practical analyser lamp for beauty centres, facial treatment rooms and wellness spaces offering visual skin assessment services.

Recommended method of use

Before using the lamp, the protective cover and lens should be cleaned with suitable cleaning products that do not damage the paint or plastic parts. It is also recommended to prepare the skin surface before observation, following the centre’s usual protocol.

  • Preparation Clean the protective cover and lens before use.
  • Connection Connect the power cable to the power supply and operate the switch.
  • Switch-on The light activates after a few seconds.
  • Working distance Keep the device 5-6 cm from the skin surface.
  • Observation Examine through the magnifying lens in a dark room.

Indicative reading using violet light

Observation under the analyser lamp makes it possible to identify visual differences in the skin’s response. The device documentation describes examples of fluorescence and colouration associated with different observable skin aspects. These references should be interpreted as professional support within an aesthetic analysis and should not be considered a medical diagnosis.

  • Bright fluorescence Appearance associated with normal, healthy-looking skin.
  • Purple fluorescence Appearance associated with hydrated skin.
  • Light violet Appearance associated with dehydrated skin.
  • Yellow or pink Appearance associated with oily areas of the face and comedones.
  • Brown Appearance associated with visible pigmentation and dark spots.
  • White fluorescence Appearance associated with a thick stratum corneum.
